Frequently asked questions
Does ClaseAlDía collect payments from parents?
No. Families keep paying you the way they do now (Interac e-Transfer, cheque, cash or card) and you mark each payment as received. ClaseAlDía tracks who has paid, sends reminders and creates receipts, but it never touches the money.
Does it issue invoices?
No. ClaseAlDía produces a simple payment receipt for each payment you record, which is not an invoice. Keep using your bookkeeping software or your accountant for invoices and taxes.
Where is my data stored?
In the European Union, on Cloudflare infrastructure. You stay in control of your students’ and families’ data: ClaseAlDía only processes it to run the service, never sells it or uses it for advertising, and you can export or delete it at any time. You remain responsible for telling families what you collect and for following the privacy laws that apply to your business, such as PIPEDA or, in Quebec, Law 25.
Do parents need to install an app?
No. They get notices by email and a private link to a family page that opens in any browser. Share it once by text and you’re done, without handing out your cell number.
Do I need a credit card for the free trial?
No. You get 30 days with every feature of your plan. If you don’t subscribe by the end, your account becomes read-only: you can still view and export everything, but you can’t add new records.
Is tax included in the price?
No. Prices are in Canadian dollars and do not include tax. Your subscription is billed by Stripe, which acts as merchant of record and adds GST/HST and any other applicable sales taxes at checkout, so you see the total before you confirm.
How do I cancel?
In the app, under Settings, with no calls or forms. Pay monthly or yearly and stop whenever you like.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It is built for the phone, because that is where you take attendance. It runs in the browser with nothing to install, and works on tablets and computers too.
